Air Fill - Terms and Conditions

NO MONEY WILL BE COLLECTED ON THE DAY OF THE TRIP
ALL AIR FILLS ARE NOW REQUIRED TO BE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE
.

Air fills were never free but certain people seem to think that they are, so in case there is any doubt, Durham City Scuba has implimented 3 rules regarding the cost of air...

(1) - if you are on a PADI course, your air fill is free

(2) - for confined diving like the pool or Ellerton / Capernwray, anyone using a bottle that is not directly assisting in the instruction of students will be asked to pay for their air fill.

(3) - Unless on a course, anyone requesting a bottle to be used for open water diving will be asked to pay for their fill.

If you fall into catagory 2 or 3 please pay your money to Paul or one of the crew as I'm sure you will agree the bottle's don't fill themselves.

Please check the air fill price guide for up to date price information. You can pay for you air fills here

  Pool - Terms and Conditions

Durham City Scuba runs pool sessions at Aykley Heads Pool (Durham Police Headquaters) on a Monday evening and Durham City Pool (Freeman's Quay) on a Wednesday evening. Both sessions start at 7.30 p.m. No one will be allowed on the poolside area unless placing scuba equipment before that time.

At Aykley Heads, please enter by the main front door, no matter how much of a draw it is when you see the van unloading, to go in by the access door. We need to keep the poolside clean and that means all outdoor shoes to enter the premises via the main door.

Due to the amount of equipment getting carried into the pool. Unless you are helping to carry equipment, please use the changing rooms to get changed or sit in the cafe area to allow easy and safe access of equipment into the pool.

There are no life guards on duty at the pool while we are using it for scuba purposes as we have our own Rescue Divers and suface staff, therefore children under the age of 12 years will need to be supervised by an adult.

As the purpose of the session is scuba diving there are always several people on the bottom of the pool so there will be no diving or jumping into the pool  by any person once scuba divers are in the pool. (unless you are conducting PADI pool entry skills). There will be no throwing or pushing people into the pool at any time.  It is dangerous and not much fun for the diver having someone land on his/her head.

The usual swimming pool rules apply. No person wearing swimming aids or who cannot swim 25 metres will be allowed past the mid section of the pool unless accompanied by an adult.

The schools scuba toys are for use under the water and not for throwing from one side of the pool to the other.  The purpose of allowing children to attend during scuba sessions is for them to gain confidence in the water and learn how to use mask and snorkel which are not normally allowed in pools.

When our pool session ends. Everyone needs to vacate the pool. Please use changing areas to get changed and again either sit in

Thanks
